Discipline :- (Category I)
Physics – 08 Qualification : Minimum 60% marks in B.Sc. (Physics as principal and Mathematics/Chemistry/ Statistics/Electronics/Computer Science as subsidiary subjects).
Mechanical – 05 Qualification : Diploma / Licentiate in Mechanical Engineering (3 years after SSC or 02 years after HSC) with minimum 60% marks.
Electronics/Instrumentation – 04 Qualification : Diploma / Licentiate in Electronics/ Instrumentation Engineering (3 years after SSC or 02 years after HSC) with minimum 60% marks
Electrical – 04 Qualification : Minimum 60% marks in Diploma / Licentiate in Electrical Engineering (3 years after SSC or 02 years after HSC)

Fitter – 05
Electrical – 05
Qualification for all Three category : Minimum 60% marks in SSC or HSC with Science & Maths PLUS ITI/NCVT certificate in Instrumentation/Electronics/ Fitter/ Electrical. The ITI/NCVT qualification should be either of the following two- 1.ITI/NCVT put together of not less than 2 years OR 2. ITI of one year duration Plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course
