Sikkim Public Service Commission, Gangtok issued notification inviting applications from eligible local candidates for filling up 8 posts
of Veterinary Officer, Junior Disease Investigation Officer, Artificial Insemination Officer, Rinder-pest Officer, Poultry Development Officer in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay Rs.5000 on temporary regular basis under Sikkim State Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department. Pay Scale: PB-2 of Rs.9300-34800 and Grade Pay of Rs.5000
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry.
Other Qualifications: Should be conversant with the customs and usages of Sikkim; hold valid Local Employment Card; have good communicative skills in English/ Hindi, Nepali and Mother tongue.
Age limit: (as on the 1st day of the month of advertisement)
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 30 years
[Upper age limit for SC/ ST/ BL category candidates is 35 years, for MBC category candidates is 34 years, for category candidates is 33 years
NOTE: Valid Local Employment Card issued by the competent authority of the Government of Sikkim is mandatory. Registration Certificate with the State Veterinary Council/ Veterinary Council of India is also mandatory.
Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Main (written) Examination and Interview Test.
Application fee: Non-refundable application fee of Rs.150 is to be credited to ‘0051-SPSC’in any branch of ‘State Bank of Sikkim’ in cash.
NOTE: Candidate’s should retain a copy of fee deposit receipt for future reference.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates should send their duly filled in application form along with fee deposit receipt in original and self attested copies of all relevant certificates/ testimonials by ordinary post to ‘The Secretary, Sikkim Public Service Commission, Old West Point School complex, Near Police Headquarter, Gangtok’ so as to reach the concerned authority on or before 30 May 2014 (1500 hours).
