Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has invited the applications from the candidates for the posts of District Commander / Battalion-2nd-in-Command / Junior Staff Officer / Chief Instructor jobs in the Punjab Home Guards and Civil Defence Department :

Age Limit – The candidates must be between the age limit of 18 years to 37 years as on 01.01.2012. The relaxation in the age limit will be given as per Govt. rules.
Educational Qualification – The aspirants must possess the Punjabi of Matriculation or equivalent to it.
Selection Procedure – The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the personal Interviews.

Application Fee –
To obtain Application form from counter – Rs. 25/- through cash
To obtain application form by post – Rs. 75/- through draft
Application Fee – Rs. 200/- for unreserved aspirants and Rs. 50/- for reserved candidates will be paid in form of Bank Draft must be drawn in the favour of Punjab Public Service Commission which is payable at Patiala. No fee for Ex-servicemen.
How To Apply – The aspirants have to download the application fee from the official website of PPSC or may be obtained from PPSC, Patiala office. The candidates must send the duly filled in application form with latest passport sized photograph affix on it and along with photo-copies of all requisite document in and envelope addressed to ‘Secretary, Punjab Public Service Commission, Baradari Gardens, Patiala-147001’ on or before 27.08.2012. The application cover must be super scribed with the name of post and also contain two self addressed envelope in it with Rs. 30/- postal stamps.
